If you travelled along the A1 WESTERN BYPASS at any time in 2015/2016 you will no doubt have experienced the disruption to the widening of the road between Lobley Hill and Dunston.
The scheme was completed in July 2016 with the addition of several lanes to provide slip roads for local traffic.
As long as you owned your property before July 2016 you will be entitled to make a claim for compensation for any loss of value due to the use of the road, due to increased physical factors like, noise, dust, fumes, smoke, vibration and artificial lighting.
I am currently preparing claims on behalf of local residents I have represented for many years and if you consider you are affected and you have not already instructed a surveyor to act on your behalf, then please use the "Register Now" button to provide me with your address and information and I will forward a claim form to you.
In recent months I have received instructions from new clients close to the road.
This also relates to LANDLORDS as, if the property is tenanted and occupied, you will be able to make a compensation claim.
I will be submitting claims to the Highways Agency in July 2017 and by the end of the year we should be able to advise residents of any compensation payable.
